Bexley Almshouse and Relief in Need Charity (Styleman’s Almshouses)
and Charity of Rev. Thomas Smoult
Bexley United Charities is a registered charity supporting people in the London Borough of Bexley.
Managing Styleman’s Almshouses & Supporting Education in Bexley
Our principal role is to own and manage Styleman’s Almshouses in the heart of Bexley Village. The almshouses were built in 1755. They consist of 11 self-contained small houses suitable for single people or couples, who are normally over 55 years in age, and who are able to live independently.
We also manage the Charity of the Rev. Thomas Smoult, which provides a small number of low value grants to young people in Bexley for educational purposes.

Charity Governance
Bexley United Charities is a registered charity and has been since 1879. As such we are regulated by the Charity Commission and operate under a Scheme of Regulation.

Building & Facilities
Styleman’s Almshouses sit on the northern side of Bexley High Street, and are conveniently located for all the shops, cafes and services in the High Street.

Smoult Funding
