A Brief History of Bexley United Charities

The origin of the current Bexley United Charities lies in various charitable bequests left over the centuries either directly to the parish Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Bexley or which came to be administered by the Vicar and Churchwardens of the Church.   

In 1879, the then Vicar (Rev. John Mee Fuller) transferred these funds into a newly constituted charity, which was named Bexley United Charities.  The Charities comprise two separate charities;
