Smoult
Charity of the Reverend Thomas Smoult
The role of this Charity is to provide grants to support the advancement in life of young people (defined as under 25 years of age) in the London Borough of Bexley. We can only use the income from the Charity’s investments to make such grants, which means that we are very restricted in the number and value of grants we can make. Individual grants are normally no more than £250.
The Charity can make grants to young people who are preparing for, entering upon or engaged in a profession, trade, occupation or service. We can do this by:
- Providing outfits;
- Paying fees, travelling or maintenance expenses: or by
- Providing any other means for advancement as the trustees think fit.
Trustees have decided that they will NOT provide support to people undertaking advanced degree courses, such as Masters degrees or PhDs. If you think you may be eligible for a grant, please email the Clerk at bexleyunitedcharities@outlook.com, and he will let you know if there are any grant funds available at the current time and whether your application might be eligible. If the answer to these questions is positive, then he will send you an application form to complete. This will be considered by the trustees, who will make a decision on your application.
